My Son — My eldest son, Benjamin, and I were butting heads for a while with typical father and son stuff. We decided to get together at a brewery and chat about things. We both enjoyed craft beer, so we used the commonality as a good excuse to get together. It was a great time that we had together, and we were able to renew a bond that we shared so deeply when he was a child. We were inseparable. After that brewery trip, we visited each other more, texted, shared videos we made, and grew as father and son and friends. I am so grateful that we had that opportunity and that there are no longer any regrets. My son Benjamin died of an asthma attack on June 24, 2022. I thank God we had time together and were not apart before he passed. It was our mutual love of beer that helped us mend our differences.
