Coming Home — I was in the Marine Corps and heading home from Desert Storm on the USS Nassau. Once we made it to the Atlantic Ocean, we had a “steel beach party” to celebrate. On the flight deck, they cooked hamburgers and hot dogs while “Home Sweet Home” by Motley Crue played on the loudspeaker. They had 55-gallon barrels filled with ice and cold beer. The best cold ones I have ever had.
